March 2007 - Hachette Pratique have bought the French rights to Albert Jack's Urban Legends which is due for translation and publication in France in June 2006.October 26th 2006. Albert is off to Cape Town to work on a new book of mysteries. He will be away for six months.

Penguin is delighted to announce the acquisition of two new books by Albert Jack, author of the huge bestseller Red Herrings and White Elephants. The first book, Shaggy Dogs and Black Sheep, to be published this autumn, will develop the great success of Red Herrings and White Elephants, which has generated masses of enthusiastic responses and queries from readers, listeners and viewers. The second book, a collection of urban legends called That's Bollocks, will appear in autumn 2006.
Georgina Laycock, Penguin's new reference senior editor, and Nigel Wilcockson, publishing director fought off four other publishers to acquire British Commonwealth rights from Robert Smith at the Robert Smith Literary Agency.
