March 2009 - Penguin Australia are to produce a Penguin Special Box Set of Loch Ness Monsters, Shaggy Dogs and Phantom Hitchhikers for release during 2009.

March 2007 - Hachette Pratique have bought the French rights to Albert Jack's Urban Legends which is due for translation and publication in France in June 2006.

October 26th 2006. Albert is off to Cape Town to work on a new book of mysteries. He will be away for six months.

September 28th 2006 - That's Bollocks has been released and is in the shops now. Albert will be appearing at Waterstones in Guildford High Street on Thursday 5th October 2006 at 5pm for the launch book signing. Everybody welcome.

August 2006. Penguin Books have announced a new six figure two book contract for Albert Jack to deliver books for the Autumn markets of both 2007 and 2008.

April 2006 - Red Herrings and White Elephants has been translated and released in Japan this week. Click here

January 2006. The year long serialisation of Red Herrings and White Elephants in the Sunday Times is to come to an end. The Sunday Telegraph will begin a three month serialisation of Shaggy Dogs and Black Sheep.

November 2005 - Shaggy Dogs and Black Sheep is at number 11 of the UK bestseller list, Red Herrings remains at number 15.

Penguin is delighted to announce the acquisition of two new books by Albert Jack, author of the huge bestseller Red Herrings and White Elephants. The first book, Shaggy Dogs and Black Sheep, to be published this autumn, will develop the great success of Red Herrings and White Elephants, which has generated masses of enthusiastic responses and queries from readers, listeners and viewers. The second book, a collection of urban legends called That's Bollocks, will appear in autumn 2006.

Georgina Laycock, Penguin's new reference senior editor, and Nigel Wilcockson, publishing director fought off four other publishers to acquire British Commonwealth rights from Robert Smith at the Robert Smith Literary Agency.
