Blonde Bombshell

A Blonde Bombshell is a cliché now used to describe any dynamic or attractive blonde lady, usually a singer, actress or film star but often applied to politicians or business figures.

The original Blonde Bombshell was Jean Harlow, an American actress, master of the one line witicism and star of the 1933 film Bombshell.

When the film was later released in the UK producers, worried it may be perceived as a war film, changed its title to Blonde Bombshell and the phrase immediately passed over into the English language.
